MyrtleBeachOnline.com Cutest Kid Contest Rules
1.HOW TO ENTER: No purchase necessary. Official photo entry for the MyrtleBeachOnline.com Cutest Kid Contest will appear on MyrtleBeachOnline.com from March 24, 2013 through May 05, 2013. To enter, log on to MyrtleBeachOnline.com/contest and click on the contest link. Entries can also be dropped off at the customer service lobby of the main office of The Sun News, located at 914 Frontage Road E. in Myrtle Beach. Photos will not be returned. Each child can only be entered once. Photos must contain only one child and have been taken within the last 90 days. Child should be submitted in the age category based on their current age. Entries can be submitted at any time during the contest period and remain eligible for the remaining contest period once received. Entry must include name, email address, and phone number.
2. ELIGIBILITY: To submit a photo, you must be 18 years of age or older and residing in The Sun News distribution area. Child in photo must also reside in The Sun News distribution area. Pets are not eligible for this contest. Sweepstakes is void where restricted or prohibited by law. Employees of The Sun News, and contest sponsors and their immediate family are ineligible to participate in this Sweepstakes.
3. DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION: One winner in each category will be voted on by MyrtleBeachOnline.com readers. The voting period will run from April 15-25, 2013. Users can vote once per hour. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winner will be announced in The Sun News on Sunday, May 5, 2013.
4. PRIZES: Three (3) prizes will be awarded, one per category. Each winner will receive a prize pack courtesy of Ripley's Aquarium which includes 2 Adult Tickets, 4 Children's Tickets and a $60 food voucher.
5. PRIZE CONDITIONS: Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on prizes and other unspecified expenses related to prizes. If an entrant selected as winner does not comply with the Official Rules, then the winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Except where prohibited by law, the winners’ entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for The Sun News to use winners’ name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice and residential address for promotional or advertising purposes in connection with this Sweepstakes and in all forms of media, without review, permission or further compensation. Winner and entrants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor (The Sun News) from and against any claims, damages, disability, attorneys' fees, and costs of litigation and settlement, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from (i) redemption, acceptance, possession, ownership, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity or (ii) printing, distribution or production errors.
EXTENDED CONTEST RULES:
This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If The Sun News cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
The Sun News reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
The Sun News reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to The Sun News the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
The Sun News reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and The Sun News are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
The Sun News reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
