Too often we forget and take for granted the members of our community that dedicate their lives every day to keep us safe. The Sun News will honor these champions in our Hometown Heroes spotlight.
It is up to you to honor the brave individual in your life by nominating them as a Hometown Hero. Nominees can be an active local law enforcement officer, paramedic, firefighter, or a member of the United States Military. They can be a family member or friend, and must reside in Horry, Georgetown or Brunswick County.
To make your nomination, simply click on the "Nominate A Hero" tab. One nominee will be randomly chosen weekly an featured in the Hometown Heroes spotlight in The Sun News’s Thursday Neighbors section. Spotlights will run each week until Veterans Day, Thursday, November.
